Company History

Virginia Youth Outreach Services was founded in 2009 and later re-branded as Virginia Family Services (VFS). The re-brand was to reflect the inclusion of services tailored to a Therapeutic Family Approach. VFS began providing services in 2011 at our first Behavioral Health office located in Farmville, Virginia. During the first few years of VFS tenure, we have overcome many challenges and broke many geographical service barriers.

In the later part of 2012, VFS launched the first of many plans to expand into Virginia’s Capital City. Since our expansion, VFS has opened a home healthcare agency and launched several new services. In addition to rapidly growing at VFS, we have partnered with our sister company Arnesta Healthcare of Virginia, which focuses on In-Home Support Services. (www.arnestahealthcareva.com/)

To date, VFS has credentialed with several insurance companies, focusing on the continuity of care as well as care coordination. VFS has been nominated as Business of the Year (2016), received the Visionary Award (2017) and strives to provide services to those in need.
